A Bit of my background. My Name is Ronald del Valle, If your wondering 'bout the surname- it's got a Spanish background... so yeah come read my surname history if your bored! I come from a family of 5, an older brother and Sister...although both my parents are from the 'Bicol' region in the Philippines, they First went to Papua New Guinea in 1975. My Father since then has been working as the Mechanical Engineer at PNG Forest Products. I am the youngest of three following, Rommel being 27, and Sharon being 24.Like my sister, I was born in the Angau Hospital in Lae, Morobe Province...where as my brother was brought over from the Philippines at 16 months. We were all raised in Bulolo ~ which is a small timber town, and educated at the Bulolo International Primary School (which was one of the first International School's in PNG) the education that we were tought had followed the Australian education system. In 1993, where I was 12 years old, I followed the footsteps of my brother and sister, and was given the chance for a better future, by studying in Australia. From 1993 to 1997, I went to Saint Augustine's College, Cairns. Which is a Marist brothers College, for the 5 years, I was much like the other boys who attended the boarding school. Overall I don't think that it was bad.. after all I was studying in the Tropical North of Queensland. After Graduating in 1997, I travelled South to the then 'Beef Capital of Australia' ~ Rockhampton where recently I completed my Degree in Human Movement Science at Central Queensland University (CQU). I know 'bout time hey!! took me enough bloody time!

Since Coming to Australia in 1993, I have found many people who seem to be geographically challenged (so to speak) who have no idea where PNG is. So for you, i have a map of the country and the geographical situation of where it is found. |

Hello...Welcome to My revamped Website, which I have tried so often to chop and change but due to my complete 'slackness' I haven only been able to change/add things now. This is basically the same old website that I had started with, I have just managed to upgrade some of the things as well as finally adding more pictures if you look below I have also decided to ad information about Papua New Guinea. |

As mentioned above I was born in Lae and raised in Bulolo here is a little back ground on my hometown. Bulolo was the site of PNG's earilest timber industries however in the 1920's it was Gold which first discovered in the creeks and rivers of Bulolo and neighbouring Wau. outsiders in the small town. The picture to the right is of one of the few remaining gold-dredging machines (brought in by the large influx people from Australia) which lays to rust, in the area's close to Bulolo.
Bulolo now-a-days, provides the country the only supply of plywood products, as well as house kits available to those who can afford them. |

Bulolo is found aproximately 150+km south-west of Lae. It is nestled up in the Morobe Mountains 2279 feet above sea as you can see from pictures, above, left & right- the surrounding area of the town is lush and green, mainly consisting of Pine plantation areas. The town is basically a timber town which consists of One Bank, a Post Office, an Airport, public pool, Bowling club, Squash club, University, Golf club and two main roads. The livelyhood of the people is the Saw Mill and Ply Mill which provides work and housing for its workers. |
